He smiled at me and then grabbed my finger tightly in his hand. “Whoa, he has a grip there doesn’t he?” Selena smiled again. Joe had left by this time; he probably just wanted to give her the baby. She looked up from Jacob and looked at me, but I didn’t take my eyes off him. “Do you want to hold him?” She asked in a low tone. I looked up to her and smiled. “Sure.” Her face lit up when she handed him to me. He was so little and must weigh only 15 pounds. He was in my lap still staring up at me. “Can he talk yet?” I asked lowly not wanting to hurt his little ears. She chuckled a little bit. He’s almost 2; he’ll be talking before you know it. He can almost walk. It’s kind of crazy to think about.” Yeah it’s crazy to think about him coming out of Selena. “He has your eyes and nose. The rest is totally Joe.” Selena shifted in her seat. “Sometimes I wish he was blond though.” I looked up to her for a second before looking at Jacob again. “Why is that?” “Blond guys are skaters, and surfers. I can imagine him skating.” I chuckled.
